Why The Sudden Interest?
My summer courses have already began coming to an end, and I am wondering what to do with my extra time. I am thinking about dedicating myself to the HonorableMed eBook. I would be writing about what goes on in the lives of today’s doctors and medical students. The time since I have started blogging has been wonderful. I love having a blog to organize all of my thoughts onto, and I love sharing them all with my followers, and people that just need something to read. I feel as though this would be a great step in the right direction for me.
Why The HonorableMed eBook?
What I have in mind isn’t small enough to be contained in a small blog post, as it is more of a documentary about the life of all of us as we go through our journeys into medicine. This book will contain some real-life experiences, some wisdom from Ted Talks that I have seen, and some content from books and articles that I have read on the subject. I will also try to include some empirical data from trusted journals to keep the credibility of my statements high.
What Can You Expect?
You can expect a high quality book written about pre-medical students in their undergraduate years, students currently enrolled at medical school, interns and residents preparing to be doctors, and current doctors. I want to showcase how much all of us go through every step of the way, and why this can be so stressful for some. I want to give some context to the high suicide rates of doctors, the high burnout rates for medical students, and so much more about us every step of the way.
What Is The Title, Where Can We Get It, and When?
The title of the HonorableMed eBook will be What Are We Doing To Doctors? This title may be slightly for dramatic effect, but it is an honest question in today’s medical landscape. You will be able to buy it right from my site, and potentially on Amazon or other providers. I have not yet figured out the price yet. The eBook should be done by the end of August, so be sure to stay tuned for future updates! I would love to hear your feedback in the comments below, whether it is you saying “HonorableMed eBook! What a great idea!” or “I think it is a bad idea, and that you should just stick to investing your time in your blog.”
